Buffalo chicken wings
Although created in the 1960’s, these fried chicken wings dipped in the cayenne-vinegar hot sauce are ubiquitous bar snacks.
Buffalo Chicken Wings was first served at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York, and is now one of the most popular bar foods.
We love the french fries, too, but for an American variation on the traditional spud, you’ve got to try Tater Tots.
These grated potato mini-balls that are cylindrical and fried with a crunchy exterior are found at breakfast spots, fast food joints, and diners.

Although the creation is attributed to German Charles Feltmann, who used buns to serve German sausages (hence also known as frankfurter or franks) to save on plates, it was the hot dog stand of Polish immigrant Nathan Handwerker. Nathan’s was Coney Island that turned the dog into a national symbol.

A Southern favorite, the original biscuits was brought to the country by the British, and ‘sawmill’ gravy was created in the food-strapped colonies of the South during the Revolutionary War as a cheap and filling breakfast option.
Biscuits are traditionally made with the butter or lard and buttermilk, Country gravy with meat drizzles, and (usually) fresh pork sausage and peppercorns.
Nowadays, biscuits can be found with all kinds of ingredients – the bacon and chive combination is popular.
