This time we have something different on the list: our combination of hotels with or near lazy rivers. As the temperatures rise, we know you want to get out of your hotel room and relax on the lazy river while listening to the sounds around you.

After you’ve visited the neighboring small towns, you can also do some people-watching at one of the lovely beaches. So, check out our list below of the best lazy river hotels in California, and be sure to let us know which one is your favorite.

An hour north of San Diego is Funer (yes, that’s a real place name), and in Funer, you’ll find the Harrah’s Resort: Southern California.

They have various boarding options, from suites to rooms. Still, they expect to spend less time in your room as there are plenty of amenities, including a casino, relaxing spa, fitness center, high-end marketplace, and more.

Golf Course. But all we want to know is what water feature they have. There’s a main pool, a swim-up bar area, a 400-foot (121 m) lazy river, and two waterfalls!

  1. Santa Clara Marriott and Great America Theme Park

This Marriott hotel in Santa Clara makes a great combination with a theme park and is in the perfect position to enjoy the lazy river at Great America Theme Park.

This is the longest lazy river in the area, but if you want more excitement, check out other water attractions such as ‘Down Under Thunder, which includes a 2-person inflatable and nearly vertical wall, or the Great Barrier Reef wave.

After all that excitement, you can walk the 1 mile (1.6 km) back to your hotel room. Excellent! Puddle.

Vista is a small town of approximately 19 square miles (30 kmĀ²) surrounded by countryside, so it is an ideal place to relax for a few days, but with good access to many attractions.

The Franciscan Inn Motel is clean, has good services and simple furnishings, and has an outdoor pool.

We recommend visiting the Waves Waterpark, especially the El Rio Loco lazy river, for all the water fun.

Another option for vistas is this Best Western hotel, just 2.4 miles (3.8 km) from the lazy river at Aquatica Waterpark.

The hotel offers an outdoor hot tub and heated pool, excellent customer service, and nice rooms to relax. All rooms are private and come with basic cooking facilities; Microwave and fridge.

Aquatica Waterpark is great for taking kids; there are many thrill rides, safety areas for the little ones, and even some live animals on site.

Once ready for the day, you can relax in a lazy river called Loggerhead Lane, which is 1,250 feet (381 meters) and is overtaken by flamingos!

Knott’s Berries Farm Hotel and Soak City Waterpark are located in the same amusement resort southeast of Los Angeles. With Disneyland only 6 miles (9.6 km) away, it’s a great spot to incorporate some play time into your vacation!

It feels right to relax in the lazy river at Soak City after a long day at Disneyland. Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel is clean, with excellent on-site food and drink.

The rooms are a good size and have everything you need. If you return from Disneyland with the free shuttle to this hotel, you only have to drive 3 minutes to the waterpark.

There are so many thrilling rides here that it may take some time to reach the Lazy River, otherwise known as the Sunset River, which forms a figure of eight and spans 1,780 feet (542 m).
