Drowning Reported at Universal Studios, Man Rushed to Hospital

A man is taken to hospital following an accident during a stunt show at Universal Studios.
According to reports, an artist working at Universal Studios Hollywood was taken to the hospital after meeting with an accident on Monday afternoon.
Specifically, preliminary reports indicate that the artist drowned. According to a spokesperson for Universal Studios, the incident occurred during an afternoon show. According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a performer at the resort required CPR.
“The details surrounding the incident are being reviewed. As always, safety is our top priority in our daily operations,” the spokesperson said. (Drowning Reported at Universal Studios)
The incident took place during a Waterworld performance at the resort. An eyewitness claims that the artist was on a tower and fell into the water. The witness claimed that he saw workers jumping in to pull him out of the water, looking for the missing man after he had fallen.
According to reports, the stunt show was abruptly canceled, and the guests were hurriedly escorted out. The artist’s status at this time remains unknown.
Waterworld is an intense, water-based show at the theme park involving pyrotechnics and “world champion jet skiers.”
During the show, Universal Studios invites guests to “engage in an adventure that swells to life with jumping jet skiers, dangerous plunges, firefights, massive explosions and a head-on plane crash, Which you need to see to believe.”
Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort make up the American Universal Studios park. Both include The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and other rides and attractions based on pop culture franchises such as Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, Harry Potter, Transformers, and Marvel.
Universal is set to expand into the US very soon, adding a new resort in Texas and a new park at the Orlando site called Epic Universe.
Universal has not provided any official update on the situation or whether or not the stunt show will continue in the future.
